Andrey is the current president and member of the board of AmBAR.  He is the founder and president of Silicon Valley Innovation Center. Andrey is a also co-founder of Credentiality  and the US-Russia Technology Symposium (currently, the Global Technology Symposium). Besides creating companies, Andrey is an expert in economics and politics of Russia and Eastern Europe. An author and co-author of multiple publications and a book on Russia, he studied and worked at Stanford University and in Russia as an economist and a political scientist. Between 2003 and 2006, Andrey had worked in Moscow as a senior economist at the Institute for Open Economy. In 2006-2007, Andrey had been an associate director at the Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies, Stanford University. Andrey received his PhD from Stanford University, MA in international economics from the University of Newcastle (UK) and MA in transition economics and politics from the Central European University (Hungary).

AmBAR's VP for Global Communications, Ilja is interested in making Silicon Valley's resources and expertise accessible to the growing entrepreneurial community in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Eastern Europe. Ilja's focus is on know-how of building successful startups from the inception to exit stages; the interaction between government, business, and universities in creating sustainable ecosystems for technological innovation; regions of innovation throughout the world based on the Silicon Valley's model; and social aspects of technical innovation. Ilja received his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2011. In his free time, Ilja enjoys hiking and playing tennis.

Alla Kassianova is a scholar working in the field of Russian foreign and security policy. She taught at International Relations program of Tomsk University, Russia, and conducted research and educational projects in more than 10 countries of Europe and North America, including two years of research fellowship at Stanford University. Alla was actively involved with building Russian and international professional networks in research and teaching of social sciences. She is a member of PONARS Eurasia, global network of social scientists promoting scholarly work and policy engagement on transnational and comparative topics within the Eurasian space.

Prior to founding SperaSoft, Inc., an offshore software development and outsourcing services company, Alexei was a Channel Development Manager with the Software Marketing Group,     Sun Microsystems. He was responsible for business and channel strategy and management    in driving adoption and deployment of Sun's business productivity suite worldwide. Previously, Alexei founded Martak International, Inc., a manufacturer's representative and export company, distributing hi-tech and medical equipment overseas.

Igor brings more than 15 years of experience in software engineering as an engineer, project manager and architect. Prior joining IBM, Igor worked as a lead Performance Architect at Kaiser Permanente IT. Igor's major role is to assess performance and scalability of software applications that serve 3.5 million of North California Kaiser Permanente members. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, Igor worked at two Silicon Valley startups: Attest Systems and Softchain Inc.
Before coming to the United States in 1999, Igor devoted 10 years of his life to Saint Petersburg State Institute of Technology, where he studied, developed educational software, conducted scientific research and taught engineering classes.

Before joining Yahoo, Leonid managed several products at Microsoft (MSN Money and Ad Exchange teams). Prior to that he co-founded CallTheShots, an internet infrastructure company acquired by Akamai Technologies and worked for Financial Engines and Morgan Stanley.   Leonid holds B.S. from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and M.S. and Ph. D.
in Applied Physics from Stanford University.

Anna has an experience in working with start-ups projects in Russia and USA and consulting young entrepreneurs in growing their start-ups. Anna was involved in organizing several technology and innovation events in Russia and USA. Anna holds BAAS from Moscow State University with major in Public Administration.

Julian is a corporate attorney and entrepreneur.  He is a founder of Velton Zegelman PC,
a boutique corporate and employment law firm in Silicon Valley. Julian represents start-ups and middle market companies in a variety of corporate transactions, including venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, licensing, and corporate governance.  In addition, he represents a number of venture capital funds and angel investors in their investments into portfolio companies.  Julian is also a co-founder and director of Rolith, Inc.,
a venture backed start-up developing advanced nanostructured coatings for renewable energy, electronics, and green building markets.  He is a graduate of University of California San Diego and University of Minnesota Law School.
